Title: The Individual Game in RCFE (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly): three examples of the rehabilitative potential of ludic activities
Abstract: In nursing homes, ludic activities are often available to guests during the socalled "dead" times between medical treatments. Most times, groups engagingin such pastimes do so in a purely recreational fashion, with no clearpurpose. This approach lacks the pedagogic planning needed to triggertheir full potential.Each of them reported remarkable progress on their psychomotor capabilities,but also on their humor.Even for those diagnosis letting only little expectations of recovery, thegame demonstrated its effectiveness to support pharmacological and motortherapies, in line with the work of other specialists.
